Should I buy a GTX 1070 ti now or should I wait?

I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card to something that is more capable of 4k gaming than my current GTX 980 but with a budget of around $450. I found an EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti FTW ULTRA SILENT on Amazon for $430 and I was wondering if I should go ahead and buy it or wait since Nvidia will announce their new graphics cards soon.

Gtx 980 is still capable to play games almost with 1440p, for me, i'm rather to wait for RTX 2070 with GDDR6, because rumoured said, it has performance 17% faster than GTX 1080 and 50% faster than GTX 1070.

Bein so close to launch wait for the new cards and see. Rumours say the next gen high end cards are emphasizing better 4k performance.

You might as well wait given the pending release and the price drop of the existing cards which will occur shortly thereafter.

I'd wait and see. We also don't know when nvidia partners (evga, msi, asus...) will have their cards ready for sale. Watch out for previews/review articles in the next few weeks.. more info means you're better informed.. performance/price ... upcoming discount/rebates of current gpus
