I'm currently building a new PC and was wondering if I buy 8gb of dual channel ram could I slowly upgrade it to 12gb (3x4) then to quad channel 16 gb?
Or should I just save up and get 16 gb dual channel.
One last thing, is there any big performance drop for quad vs dual channel?
