Upgrading my PC suggestions

I want to get better frames on games like arma 3/DayZ etc. I know they arnt optimised greatly however I have friends that get much better than me.

I want to keep my Graphics card since that was recently bought and I'd rather spend money on other outdated components.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

In that case you would have to get new CPU, mobo and RAM. Look for either Intel 8th gen Coffee lake or wait a few months for the new 9th gen Intel CPUs or you can go Ryzen 2nd gen.
I would also recommend getting an SSD.

Do you have a microcenter nearby? if so, they have awesome combo deals. for instance at my local microcenter, i can get a ryzen 5 1600 for $139 with an additional $30 off if i pair it with a compatible motherboard. cheapest deal they have for that processor and a B350 motherboard comes out to about $180 before taxes. It would be a great upgrade from your current i5 3330

Kasper well I'm one of those people who struggle to make a budget, it depends on how good of an investment it is and I kinda just say yeah I would pay that or no I wouldnt lol. I guess I dont want to spend much on a motherboard, just what I need will do. The RAM is a funny one but ill pay what I need to if it would really help, I'm willing to pay a fair bit for a cpu cause I think games like Arma 3 depend on the CPU a lot and I want a cpu that I will be thaankful I got and make a big difference. btmedic I dont live in the states, im from the UK, the closest computer shop I have to me is Computer Orbit.

Well, With Intel you generally get better gaming performance but Ryzen is cheaper. So in the end it depends how much you are willing to pay and if you are willing to pay more for the Intel.

Well I'm going to be buying a new mobo anyway so may aswel switch now if I was ever going to.
Looking at the difference in performance I may aswel go for the cheaper option, what would you recommend if I went down the AMD road?

I'm an Intel guy myself, so others may be better at suggesting AMD builds. Just know that you will also need new DDR4 RAM as well.
