I have a question related to a MU-MIMO access point (3:3:x2).

Could a MU-MIMO access point serve a 802.11g and 802.11n/ac clients simulteniously? Thank you.

Hi kanewolf. Thank you for the link. I've been searching for a few hours and founds out that there are quite a few APs than can do this - serve on client at 2.4 GHz and another at 5GHz at the same time. These are usually quite expensives (such as this Cisco 3800:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/wireless/aironet-3800-series-access-points/datasheet-c78-736498.html

P.S: Very interesting read. I'm not sure if anything has changed since then. Seems like a mu-mimo has some serious overheads that deteriorate the promised performance gains.

I don't think mu-mimo runs on 2.4g band...still as long as you run all your other devices on the 5g band the 2.4g band can run 802.11g without affecting the machines on the 5g band. All routers should be able to do this.

If you want actual AP ubiquiti is your best bet for affordable devices, they don't have all the feature that cisco or HP do but most those feature are used in enterprise class business.

If you need enterprise stuff you have the vendor come into your office and make a sales presentation. They will give you option for what will solve your problem. I know cisco and HP still have theirs but a bunch of companies bought others so I can't keep up with the brands.

Part of the huge cost of things like cisco are because of the cost to come and give you presentations.

Be aware the controllers for these systems cost as much as a car does so be REALLY sure you need enterprise features.
