Is too Much Wattage Bad?

Hello fellow PC builders,

I have bought a 600w EVGA power supply, but I am worried that it is too much wattage considering my parts only require about 125-150 watts. Would it be an issue? (The 600watt PSU was about 15 dollars cheaper than the 430watt & 500watt PSU's). I'm a first time PC builder, not having much to any experience at all. Thank you to anyone who can help me. :)

Solution
All "too much wattage" does is run less efficiently than a properly sized power supply would. Wattage of a power supply is independent of QUALITY. Don't confuse the two. A "1000W" power supply might be all advertising and perform no better than a 500W. Search for a review of the specific model you are going to buy. That is the best way to figure out if you are getting a good power supply.
