hi
back there on windows 8 i was able to do a pretty good and stable overclock
but ever since ive upgraded to win10, not only i cant overclock anymore (glitch/crash) but
also actually i have to underclock a little bit..!! (glich on default clocks)
already tried clean uninstal/reinstalling driver.. no overheating issue.. i dont know if its because of
windows, new driver or my gpu is dying (ive also used to mine crypto) .. what do you think?
Nvidia 1070 , 1000 PSU (but 5-6 years old) , 8gb ram

Solution
its usually below 70c even under heavy use .. my room is like Siberia xD
Nice, I'm looking forward to winter. It's practically Savanna here when the AC is off. (though it rained today)

so its ok to have unstable oc with newer driver or windows.. thats relief..
Yeah, changing windows or updating drivers can mess up OC. People usually downgrade or change their OC settings.

Hi, have you tried maxing power limit + increasing voltage? What about using an older Nvidia driver? Are you on performance mode or power saving mode?

If your worried about other things being an issue (like PSU or bad windows), you could test your GPU on another system to make sure it's healthy.

yeah.. power limit or voltage didnt change anything.. for older driver i dont know what to use and dont remember what version i was using during those days
is there any specific driver which is known for overclockability? (!!)
and for the last part.. honestly its not a big deal as it is right now.. i can simply set -60 for core clock and its fine.. but i dont know if it'l become worse..

Test a driver that's couple months older. I have seen people's OC get unstable on newer driver versions or when they change windows.

Also, what are your max temps while gaming? above 85c is hot. I recommend a fresh thermal paste + cleaning the dust that might have stuck inside.

As for mining, some cards take it well, others don't.
