Intel optimized DDR4 in Ryzen system?

I recently got a really good deal on some Ripjaws DDR4 2800 ram that says it is optimized for Intel systems. Model number is F4-2800C16D-8GVR. I got 2 of these for a total of 16gb. I have an MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard and a Ryzen 5 1600X. I already had 2 of the Ripjaws with 2x 4gb HyperX 2133 with no issues. I don't remember timing settings, but they were clocked at 2400. As soon as I removed the HyperX and installed the new Ripjaws, my system crashed. I was using all stock settings. No overclock on ram or cpu. Is this a timing/voltage issue or could it just be bad ram? Never heard of G.Skill having issues though. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!
