the video is integrated its an nvidia geforce 7025. the new cpu will be an AMD Phenom™ II X4 Processor i just realy wanted to know, my slots are pci and pci-e x16 what slot video card should i look for ? i.e. only pci or pci----ex16, or can i use pci---e 2.0 or 3.0 ?

I doubt he has the PSU for that. Would be overkill too.
You can use any you like but it would be slower. PCI-e/x16 is best for GPU.
Anything you get is better than that. I recommend GTX 750. Should work well with that Phenom X4. Sells for 50$ on eBay.
