So I recently fried the spindle controller of my main storage drive(which isn't backed up :/), and I am trying to find the best way forward without losing that data. I know that pcb swaps are common, but as far as I can think, the new pcb wouldn't know where any of my data is an would just write over it. The only way forward that I can think of is swapping in a new spindle controller IC, but I haven't been able to find the exact model of the IC, as it is literally burned, all I can read is SMOOTH L7251 3.1 APV.
