Mouse and Keyboard not working with new Mobo/Cpu

So I splurged a bit on a new motherboard and CPU, installed everything and thought I’d be fine; but first, it wasn’t detecting any boot devices so I enabled CSM. That got me into Windows, but my mouse and keyboard wouldn’t work. Tried recovery mode/a boot disc, it didn’t work. Disabled XHCI HAND-off and that kept the lights on, but my mouse and keyboard are still not working. I’ve got an H370-A and an i5 8600k; everything picks up fine in Bios, but they won’t work! My PC did say I might miss security updates because I’m on Windows 7, but I have no way to upgrade to 10. I have it on Mmy HDD, but I’m unable to load it on a flash or even install it because my peripherals won’t work outside of the BIOS.

What can I possibly do?

You're Authentication key for 7 will work for 10 as long as its not an oem key like Dell or Hp. Plus you don't even need a key to download and install it, it will still work fine unactivated you just cannot personalize it for the most part.

The issue you're having sounds like you are missing the USB drivers for your new setup. Please make sure things like Legacy USB support, usb1/1.1/2 support are enabled in the bios also. Once you get that working you can probably install the rest of your motherbd drivers.

It actually did come down to a lack of drivers; Windows 7 does not natively support USB 3.0, so I was unable to use my USB peripherals. I had to use a ps/2 keyboard and change my ssd’s format so I could install Windows 10. Once I was on Win 10, everything worked fine.
