Hard drive performance slow

Hi there

I have a Western Digital Black 4TB which should be one of the fastest hard drives out there but I have been experiencing slow performance.

I have done a HDD Scan Drive test report for the read speeds and these are the results that I'm getting.

Is my hard drive operating like normal or is it bad?

Have you tested it's Read and write speed as well? If not then Make sure to do it too.

I prefer HD Tune myself when benchmarking HDDs.

That latency and throughput is not good at all.

I recommend backing up your data and replacing the drive ASAP

I did another test after the reboot and got this result...

That last test is much better!

How much RAM is installed? If it's 8GB, I'd replace the drive. If you just have 4GB, then upgrade to more RAM as systems with 4GB or less start to page to disk more often; that will cause the disk to operate more slowly under excessive activity.
