so i recently installed a second GPU so i could do sli, but now whenever i try to play a game it reeboots after a few minutes im not getting a BSOD, it just suddenly reboots. could it be my powersupply?

it doesn't seem to be the power supply. and I've reinstalled the drivers. doing a system scan hasn't done much either. After trying a few games the only one that reboots it so far is Rainbow six siege. not sure why that happens, but it seems to be the only one so far. so it might be a software issue, but not sure. temperature doesnt seem to be an issue either.

Solution

In that case definitely re-install drivers and see how that goes.

I did that a few times trying to figure out why the SLI option wasn't showing. it was because I was a fool and inserted them in the wrong slots. Should I completely uninstall the drivers again and reinstall them?

I would have clean install but if its working leave it alone. As they say if its not broken don't fix it.

that was before this started happening. it keeps rebooting when I'm playing an online game. it lets me connect to a match, but after a minute or so it reboots

Question from ricardosalazarmex : "Pc reboots when playing Ubisoft games?"

There should be an option in your nvidia control panel to just use one video card. I would not know where as I game on ATI FTW...
