Hi all!
I recently ordered a PC37X, which are a huge improvement over my RIG500e set I have right now, but I am a little concerned about how well my ALC887 integrated audio will drive the PC37s. I know that the onboard will drive them, but I believe that the 887 will hold them back in sound quality. My mother board is a B150M-HDS, so I'd have to assume the audio implementation is pretty bad(~$50 mobo).

I am into fairly competitive gaming(Siege, CS) and looking to gain an audio edge better than what I get with my RIG and I'm wondering which of these sound cards I should buy, or if there are better choices out there.

What I'm currently looking at are:
-E10k
-SB Omni
-Xonar u5
-Xonar u7
I cannot use an internal solution as my lone PCI-E x1 slot is occupied by a wireless network adaptor.

Also, on a side note, this is probably a stupid question, but is there any way to turn my one PCI-E x1 slot into 2?
A double adaptor, or USB to PCI-E, or something(yea, I know I sound stupid)?

Thanks in advance guys!

one thing for sure is those external sound card will free little system resource, that means good, you already have free PCIe 1x slot occupied so left to USB type SC such Xonar, yes by pair it to premium headphone you might have an edge by getting much much much much clarity sound source.
