Memory not at full speed, BIOS update? (acer motherboard)

I bought a second hand motherboard (Acer predator g3-710), with an i5 6400 processor. I bought some new RAM for it but apparently it is not running at full speed. I did some research and learned that I should enable something called xmp. Unfortunately the BIOS on this computer doesn't have an option for it.

I checked the bios version and it is R01-A1 dated 7/10/2015 so it's quite old. How can I update it? Acer's bios download page has this warning "Upgrading your system BIOS incorrectly could harm your Acer product. Please proceed with caution."

So I'm quite worried that I will hurt my machine. What should I do?

Your ram is running at 2133mhz. Not that far from 2666mhz btw.

If your motherboard doesn't have option to turn on XMP, then you can try specifying ram settings manually. You can see latency values in GPU-Z spd tab.
It is 2666mhz 16-18-18-35.

Here they are. Do they look ok? The box of the RAM says 2666MHz

Thanks, so how exactly do I specify ram settings manually?

Yeah I can't find any settings for ram in bios. What about the bios update, is it possible and will it help?

Well - I don't see anything related to ram configuration either. Then you can do nothing about it.
BIOS update is the last option. But I wouldn't put too much hope in it.

Edit: There is a note in bottom right corner about Administrator access level. See if there is option to enable it. Could be under Security.

There are no options available there.

I guess I will accept 2133MHz. Thanks for the help!
