Here is what Zotac says the power requirements are -- https://www.zotac.com/us/product/graphics_card/gtx-980-ti-amp-extreme#spec
You do need two 8 pin PCIe power cords. That power supply came with two 8 pin PCIe power cords.

You do need two 8 pin PCIe power cords. That power supply came with two 8 pin PCIe power cords.
