Does Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 3000MHz CL15 work with an i5-8400 on a Z370 pro4?

Yeah, so my question is in the title. I bought this dual channel kit as it was on a pretty good sale offer but now I am unsure wether it will work or not (I am building a PC on parts and I only had money for one part and this is the one I chose as it was on sale). Should I return it in order to buy a Corsair Vengeance RGB LED 16GB DDR4 2666MHz CL16 Dual Channel Kit or...? Mind you that this 3000 MHz one was way cheaper than the 2666 one currently is.

You need to match the Module No. with the QVL list here... https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z370%20Pro4/index.asp#Memory

It is most likely to work with most boards, but if its not on the QVL list, nobody can tell you with certainty. You can only find out once you test it. Kits on QVL list are only guaranteed to work as they are already tested with the board by manufacturer.
