Just got hyperx cloud IIs curious about the 7.1 button.

So as the title states, I recently picked up the hyperx cloud II headset, and ive been loving them but I was just wondering whether I should have 7.1 on or off, and if there is any downside to not having it flicked on? Ive noticed with 7.1 it is a better quality for sure and ofc its surround but is there a downside? Just wondering thanks :p

Use whichever sounds better for you.
Off is 2.0 stereo sound
On is digital 7.1 surround sound.

If you bought the Cloud IIs you probably want to be using the 7.1, thats why it costs a little more than the Cloud Is.
