Hey I'm new to building a pc and have a few questions. Is it better to get a gtx 1060 with 16gb ram and a ryzen 7 processor or is a gtx 1070 ti with 8gb of ram and a ryzen 5 processor?
My budget is around $1,000-$1,100. The rest of the parts I was looking at were

Cooler Master MasterBox Lite 5 RGB
EVGA 600 B1, 80+ BRONZE 600W
ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F Gaming AM4 ATX AMD Motherboard
Seagate 1TB Barracuda SATA 6Gb/s 7200 RPM 64MB Cache 3.5 inch Desktop Hard Drive
Kingston A400 SSD 120GB SATA 3 2.5” Solid State Drive SA400S37/240gb

Thanks Jeff.

Solution
Hey!
I would recommend the GTX 1070ti with 8GB and a ryzen 5.
Why? Usually i would say get the 16GB ram but it is easier adding more ram then upgrading a GPU.
the 1070ti will give u a lot more performance then a 1060.
the ryzen 5 is a good gaming choice since you dont really need these 8 cores 16 Threads (yes maybe in a few years but since then there will be new fancy tech).
