Can i use ddr3 1600 or The cpu does not support it?

I have a Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 and AMD Athlon II X3 415e and i know that it uses ddr3 but cpu word said it supports ddr3 1333 but can i use ddr3 1600 i am confused?

Yes you can use DDR3 1600.

It will run at 1333.

It has nothing to do with the CPU.

You can OC the motherboard to get 1600 if I recall correctly. Look at your motherboard documentation.

It's not going to make that much difference. You probably won't even notice it.
