Which CPU to pair with a GTX 1080.

I currently have a desktop with a i5-6500+GTX 1080....

http://thebottlenecker.com says that there is a significant bottleneck...on the same site it says that an AMD Ryzen 5 1600X would be a perfect match for GTX 1080 ....

do you agree with this ? is AMD Ryzen 5 1600X the best option here ? performance-wise and price-wise ?

okay. new data.

quick question do you need two separate computers? I run linux off my rig and windows. its easy enough to have a work OS and an play OS - different drives.

if you want to build a new system a 1600 would be choice. be sure to get 3000Mhz RAM of raster Ryzen loves it some bandwidth.

I went cheap, didn't know the budget.
