CPU Running too hot with Corsair H100i any suggestions?

So, I have been replacing old parts on my pc, I replaced a cooler master hyper evo (4 pipes) with a Corsair H100i Pro (240mm). At first, things were fine and temperatures were looking at about 35-40 C Idle, and about 45-55 C with load. This was great until suddenly I saw temperatures start reaching 75-85 C just while playing league, and fans running much faster than normal. So I thought that the thermal paste may just need to be applied better and hopefully fix the issue. I replaced the thermal paste (a little less than pea size). Now my PC is idle at 55 C and occasionally spiking up at 80 C just starting chrome. I have looked into the fan settings with CAM software (NZXT) as well as Corsairs LINK software and can't seem to find a reason why the fans are working so hard to little effect.
I have 2 fans on the H100 radiator pushing through, and one pulling on the opposite side. Then I have 2 exhaust fans in the case, (NZXT H500i). Any suggestions on what will help my PC idle at lower temperatures and be able to quiet my fans? (They are running at about 80%). Any help appreciated!

Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5-4690k (My next upgrade)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
Motherboard: ASUS Z97-A
Cooler: Corsair H100i RGB Pro (3 fans attached to the radiator, 2 pushing through it and one pulling from it into the case)
Power: EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G1

Maybe a little bit warm? I was thinking that maybe the pump isn't working properly, especially with the way it is suddenly acting up and giving me these ridiculous temp readings. However, the pump is only about 2 days old.
