i7 8700k + GTX 1080 Overclock (Are my temps normal?)

So I own a GTX 1080 and an i7 8700k. My GTX 1080 is a Gigabyte G1 (I believe?), I use an ML240L from Cooler Master to cool my i7, and my motherboard is the MSI Z370-A Pro.

I have clocked my i7 at 5.2GHz at 1.35V. My idle temps (as reported by Speccy) are 37-45C. I've clocked my 1080 at 1860MHz core clock, and 6000MHz memory clock, and my idle temps are around 40-43C.

My i7's max temp is 77C, and my 1080 never goes past 71C.

Are these temps good? Will these overclocks significantly reduce the lifespan of my hardware? I plan on using this build for 8-10 years (my last build was very decent and suited me well, it's lasted since 2012 and still going strong, so I'd like to have this build outlast that system).

5.2@1.35v? There is no way you stress tested it without it crashing. Have you even bothered trying to stress test it? And if so where is the proof of both the overclock and the temps. Stress testing with a 240mm aio on that vcore is going to put the cpu temps in the low 90c range.

The video card on the other hand is believable though you seem to be in rare air on the memory speed..

One last thing, Speccy is not a reliable source for system voltage or temperature information. Use HWMonitor, or AIDA64(which also has reliable stress testing). Prime95 Version26.6 is also good for testing. Small fft for the cpu test. These will give you proof of stability.

The temps on the 8700K at idle seem very high...Unless you live in a very hot country. I would just double make sure with Hardware Info on the idle temps and are you saying that the temps at load are 77 Degrees C in Prime95 or Aida? because if so, that is more than good. As to the GPU, that is fine.

Your temps on your 8700K seem fine as you are running on a high frequency. As for your 1080, those temps also fine as you have overclocked it. Your computer will last up to 7-8 years easily, but till 10 years it might not make it!

I live in the USA, but more specifically in Arizona. It's extremely hot over here, around 30-40C. I use Prime95.

Ah. That seems pretty fine to me, I'm okay with lasting 7-8 years :)
