drivers for old laptop

I have an HP Pavilion dv5000. I am re-installing XP, and need to find ethernet drivers for it. The HP website has not been helpful.

you will find all drivers on HP support web page.

However for such old laptop I would recommend to install ubuntu linux.
making USB bootable drive OR bootable DVD is realy easy.
These Days installing and working on latest Linux is as ease or even easier than on Windows
for ubuntu you still would get full updates while for windowsXP they don't do updates anymore.

Internet / web browsing will work exactly as on Windows10

Thank you. I have tried the HP website. I think the unit is so old, they have removed all support for it - the website fails to find the s/n or p/n. I will consider Linux, as I have wanted to learn how to use it. Thanks again!
