R9290 water cooled

Just looking for some advice.

I've just watercooled my PC and have overclocked my R9 290 using MSI afterburner.

I've got a 1190 core clock and 1580memory.

With a +100mv

Is this a good/high clock, should I be able to get more?

You overclock until you get artifacts (weird lines and colors) when testing. Then you back off by 15-30. Each chip is different so I can't give numbers. Some GPUs have OC from the factory too.

If you start overheating and throttling, then it could help. But before you do that, consider changing the thermal paste and adding a fan near the GPU on the chasis.

Thank you.

I shall continue to push. I think I need more than 100mv, so may look at using strixx.

I've pulled an extra 10fps in unigine after clocking. But it's all in aid of vr. Until I buy an rtx once benches start coming out.
