5820k high idle

I just put a new Kraken 61 cooler on a my 5820K - the problem is with this new cooler I am running idle temps at between 36 and 40 Celsius.

The old cooler wasn't anything fancy and would also run hot and I just assumed I probably had a bad cooler or just put it on poorly - I let it go because it was well within operating range.

Now, I have overclocked this CPU to 4.5GHZ and it sits at between 36 and 40 Celsius idle as well (at stock or at overclock the idle is still the same).

When I punish the CPU with some AIDA 64 to test the overlock it heats up to the very low 70's and happily sweats away at that temp - during heavily CPU intensive gaming it gets to the high 50's - low 60's.

This thing is very usable at these speeds but it does concern me as to the reasons why the idle is so high and I wanted the communities thoughts on this please.

Solution
The idle temps seem a bit high as I would expect low 30's at worst especially as this is a 280mm AIO. Do you live in a hot country? does your Case have good intake cooling? and finally if no to those questions, I would just re-install the Karken 61 to make sure it is on properly and the thermal paste id good... Small pea sized drop in the centre or try and spread it across the die in a thin layer..
