I have an I7-8700 with ASROCK B360m extreme MB. Cyberpower name brand stamp
As you all know, I7-8700 throttles pretty badly when all 6 cores are running and the MB tries to maintain the 65 Watt Power limit.
By adjusting the Long/Short power duration settings I can get all 6 cores to run at 4.3 Ghz. ok fine
But will this over heat the VRM like overclocking would do ?? I'm just trying to get this dam chip to run at Spec. Intel misled many people about this Chip Im trying to salvage this system.
MB does have a heatsink on the left VRMs but not the ones on top which I see on many MB for some reason. Maybe not all VRMs need cooling ????
