What would be a good graphics card for Lenovo M83 with i5?

I recently purchased a refurbished Lenovo M83 with an Intel i5 4570. If my sons want to do some gaming on it, such as Sea of Thieves or Fortnite, what would be a decent aftermarket graphics card that would let them take advantage of higher graphics settings? I am looking for one that would run well with Linux Mint 19 os.

Form factor has a lot to do with it. A mini tower will accept a full height card usually. A SFF(small form factor) or DT(desktop) model will not. So if it's a tower that seems average height and width it's probably the mini tower. If it seems slimmer than the usual computer, or it can be laid down flat, it's one of the smaller ones.

The power supplies in these computers might not be upgradeable, so I'd stick with videocards that do not require a 6 pin pci-ex connector. Luckily, there are some good choices for you. A GTX 1050 would handle Fortnite quite well. You can find them in 'low profile' models which if you have a slim case is important. A faster option is the 1050 Ti, it comes in models that do not require the extra power...

AMD has the RX 560, however in my area AMD cards a bit pricey compared to the 1050 right now.
