I recently moved into college for the year and I cannot play games on my PC (There is a lot of network lag). Streaming and web browsing works fine (I assume this is because a constant connection is not as important). Since I do not have access to the network settings is their anything I can do? Attached is a screenshot of task manger. Also I play PS4 and I notice the same issue however it is not nearly as bad. Thank you!

Even if you had some ability to change things you are still using wifi. When you live in high density housing you have massive amounts of wifi users. The fundamental problem is the method used to share wifi does not work well with games.

Online games unlike just about any other application can not tolerate much if any variations in the latency. Wifi unlike any other form of network uses retransmission to solve interference issues rather than just dropping the traffic. It is the worst possible combination.

This problem just gets worse and worse as more and more things use wifi. Soon I suspect you will only be able to use wifi consoles games if you have a farm with 10 acres of land so you get no external wifi interference...
Do you ever lag when no one is using the connection?
Certain QoS can manage it if it's from you, like the edge router x.
They likely have a limiter set for you, but if they can't maintain that speed you can't do a lot.
You could ask IT how the limiters work and figure out what the weak link is.

Maybe you get lucky and there is a lan jack someplace you can use.
