My laptop, the Dell Inspirion 7577 i5 with the Nvidia 1060 MaxQ gets super hot on the top right above the function keys. It is hotter on the right side than the left. I was wondering if there was any place in the body that anyone could recommend adding (cutting) additional vents into it to provide better ventilation.

I have seen a link where someone undervolts their card but I am hesitant to do that at this juncture.

I have a laptop cooler but it doesn't seem to help at all.

Any advice would be helpful.

Even if you could cut out more vents (which is a poor idea) you wouldnt really gain anything.
All the components should have some sort of heatpipe contact on them to the main blower fan, since there is no airflow in these locations, just the heatpipe, a vent wouldnt lower temps realistically.
