I am confused and frustrated. Long story short i bought this old DELL XPS 720 from 2007 with a Radeon HD 6950 in it and a Core 2 Quad Q9300. I know I know, it's an old machine with even older specs but what baffles me is that I had an Optiplex before with a GT 710 and a Core 2 Quad Q6600 and GTA ran much much better. Before you say I should build a new pc I am extremely tight with money and I genuinely cannot buy a new system. With this XPS i get somewhere around 14fps at normal settings with a 720p resolution while I was pushing just about 30 with the Optiplex.
I started to troubleshoot the system myself and take a look as to why this may be but games such as Max Payne 3 and Crysis 2 which barely ran on the Optiplex run extremely well on the XPS.
Maybe GTA hates oldish drivers from 2016. If anyone can help please do!
