I'm interested in upgrading my laptops from from 8gb single channel to 16gb dual channel. I'm not sure which type of ram or which ram specifically I should get for my particular laptop and was wondering if someone with more expertise could direct me towards a particular one I should get. My laptop is a Aspire E15 E5-576G-5762 (the i5-8250u + mx150) version. This is a link directly to the laptop that I have.

I was planning on getting this ram but I wanted to make sure it was the correct ram to use.

Also I scanned my laptop through the crucial program and it directed me towards this.

Solution
Suggest you download CPU-Z, run it, and take the info you need from the motherboard tab, and the SPD tab. With the latter, select the correct slot that contains your RAM, and it will show you more specific DIMM (or SODIMM) info.

Post back with the results.

BTW, if you're looking to upgrade due to RAM usage, rather than RAM speed, it might be worth looking at reducing what's running on your system, such as services, startup processes and so on. 8GB of RAM should be more than adequate for low to mid range laptops.
