Anyway to bypass the power limit of a pcie x16 slot?

So I have a Dell Optiplex 775 DT Motherboard because It's cheap and supports the q6600 so I want to know if I could bypass the 25 Watt limit on the pcie x16 slot. I'm wondering if this will work because I need to run a GTX 660 Twin Frozr OC Edition. I'm wondering if this will work because it gets power from the psu to power the slot. Many people report ignoring the limit with no problems, but the risk is on you to try it. A spare MB is $12.

The 755 supports up to Q9650 CPU with the latest BIOS but Q9550 is popular due to pricing. RW134 is the heatpipe cooler for the BTX DT Optiplexes.

Pretty sure that PCI-E slot pulls 75W maximum. Then after that it's up to your power supply. LGA775 is old and will botttleneck the GPU though.

While 75w is the standard there are OEM boards that limit the pci-e slot to 25w or 35w.

the riser board cuts off power from the motherboard's pcie slot and feeds the pcie card directly thru the 6pin power input from the PSU.

the 6pin input is rated 75 watts.(but depends on the riser board maker)
