I read about whining but none about this kind of sound:

Is that some kind of spark gap? i can't see any lighting strikes...

I was playing on my Vive (which i have done for about a year without issues), and suddenly this noise appears. The first time my PSU was very hot (maybe it always is when i run VR but didn't notice) and turned my PC off right away. After cooling it disappears, but after some time it always is coming back. My PC seems to work fine and the games too, however i am worried it might damage other components. Its also very annoying and loud. Do you know what could be the reason for that?

I have looked further into it: It might also be the GPU, as GPU and PSU are very close. Unfortunately the GPU is so big, that i can't take it out. What i saw however is that the gpu fans are not turning. so i will try getting them to cool the gpu first. I couldn't see anything that hits the PSU fans

I never expected a piece of tape from inside the PSU to seperate and hit the fan from below in such a irregular manner. Anyway. It was indeed like with most people just hitting something, even though it really sounded like a spark
