GPU - GTX 1060 3Gb
CPU - i5 3570

So, i started overclocking my GPU graduallly and i got a sweet 160MHz+ on the core and 500MHz+ on memory, scored an avg of 67.1 fps on heaven ultra, tesselation extreme and x8 AA. Also ran 3DMark's Time spy and got 4001. Temps looks pretty good at 48°C on load, so i tried to push a bit more at 170 MHz.

I ran a Time spy stress test and passed it with 99.4%, then looped heaven a few times, no artifacts or any sign of instability, so i ran my benchmarks again. Heaven dropped to an avg of 65.6 fps. i ran the benchmark several times with both 160 and 170MHz+ several times with the same results.

So, i wanted to now, what´s wrong with my oc?can it be a power issue?(i have a 500W Power supply BTW). Is lower performance a sign of instability itself? Oddly, Time spy went up a bit with a score of 4029.

Thanks for your answers and sorry for my bad english =).

Solution
Is lower performance a sign of instability itself?
It's possible.

Find your max OC first. Then lower the core clock by 25 or more. (50 or more for memory).
For example: +200 > artifacts/freeze > +175
can it be a power issue?(i have a 500W Power supply BTW)
Should be enough unless it's faulty. Max your power limit limit too if you haven't done so.
Temps looks pretty good at 48°C on load
Those temps are excellent. You living inside a freezer?
