Hi guys could you help me with something. I'm using AMD FX-4350 with GTX 760 on ASUS M5A78L-M LX mobo. When I check my RAM size at task manager, it shows 8.0GB other but the speed is 400MHz. I'm using DDR3 ram on single slot, does that means my actual ram speed is 1200Mhz? If I buy 1600MHz RAM would it bring much difference or not in terms of gaming and using softwares such as AUTOCAD or CATIA?

I'm new in computers and I got this desktop from my older brother. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Solution
download and install cpu-z software (free) it will show you specs and speed of your system.
Games may see 10-20% fps increase just by using 2 ram sticks (dual channel) instead of one ( single channel)
