This is my first computer build, the problem i'm having is

I did not buy a CD drive, for the driver disk the only CD drive I have is connected to the motherboard with a ribbon cable it's also from 1997 - this motherboard does not have a connection for one. Is there a way to connect it?
So I went to the ASRock B450M Pro4 download section https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/B450M%20Pro4/index.asp#Download
Now my disk says "AAM4-17 Version 1.7" but the website says "AMD all in 1 driver ver:17.40.2815.1010_WHQL", "AMD all in 1 with VGA driver ver:17.40.3765-WHQL" and much more other things i'm not sure if I need or not.
I don't understand why I need drivers for my motherboard in the first place never had them before so it's all new to me, also they all say Windows 10 64 bit, I wanted to run Windows 7 does this mean I have to upgrade to Windows 10 ?

Your PC has ALWAYS had drivers. Sometimes they are built-into Windows sometimes they are provided by the hardware vendor.
Probably, all you need is the all-in-one driver and the LAN driver. If you care about RGB lighting, then you want that file.

Yeah - like video card, sound, microsoft visual, microsoft framework - but never had motherboard ones before atleast not one I had to manually install

LAN is for the ethernet ? I don't think I have RGB unless it comes with the board then i'll hook it up.
