Hi,

I have a gaming PC which I build myself. When I first build it, it would boot and run really fast. Ever since a few month ago it’s got slower and slower and my FPS has been dropping. Dusting it has helped, but not much and my temps are fine. Also we I ran a test on 3D mark, it said my PC was running worse than most similar computers. Another thing is that my disk is often on ‘100% Usage’ Even though I hardly have anything running. Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot in advance.
SPECS:
CPU: i5 6500
Motherboard: Gigabyte H110M S2H
GPU: RX 580 4GB
RAM: 8GB
HDD: 1TB WB Blue
PSU: 500W EVGA

Thanks again :)

It's quite hard to help when just given specs and a time period. A lot can happen in that period such as you installing background programs or other software which will reduce your speed significantly. As suggested already, perform basic computer cleanup by defragging and clean up your hard disk.

I'd also check what programs start on boot, and remove/disable those. Assuming you have Windows 10, follow all the steps here.
