Hey.

I am relatively new to the PC world and just got a used gaming pc from my friend.
It works pretty well for 5-year-old PC, but I am looking to at least upgrade the graphics card and add some more memory.

I am looking at the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Ti, but am open to other suggestions

My biggest concern is that if my system can even handle a new graphics card since all the parts are old. Would there a compatibility issue?

I really wanna prepare for Cyberpunk 2077

PC specs:

Intel i7 4790k
Corsair Air 540 Case With Custom White Painted Grill
Corsair Hydro Series H110i GT CPU Watercooler
32Gb DDR3 RAM Corsair Vengeance Black
2Tb HDD
Asus Rampage VII Gene motherboard
OCZ 120Gb SSD
4GB AMD Radeon 290x
Blu Ray Writer 385
Corsair 850w Power Supply

I gladly appreciate all your help.

Yes it can, and you should be fine with a GTX 1070 Ti. It will go well with the rest of your build and should be a solid upgrade from your 290X. As for the Power Supply, which model is it in particular? 850w is way more than enough for a 1070 Ti, a good 550w would handle it fine but would like to check which model to ensure it's a reliable pairing. As for RAM, not much point. 32GB is overkill for a Gaming machine and even the stock DDR3 speed of 1600 would be plenty for a 4790K. Hope this helps! :)
