I just built a computer with the following specs
CPU - i7 8700k
GPU - 1080ti
RAM - 16Gb
Mobo - Asus RTOG Strix 370-F
Cooler - Kraken 62x
PSU - EVGA 650 gold
This system is running games better than any computer I've ever had before, but it isn't running them as well as I would have expected. When running CS;GO I got 110-140 fps. While this is good, I have seen lower spec computers get more than double this number. I assumed that it was just because CS is an old game, and went on with my life, but I just started to play some Rainbow Six Seige and I found a similar problem. On the in-game benchmarking tool, I did everything with max settings and got an average of 144 with a low of 70 and high of 200. Again, formidable numbers, but I've seen similar configs get 100+ more fps.
I am aware that I can't see more fps than my monitor can put out, but I would like to know this for down the line when my computer isn't overkill for most games.
