So I have an old celeron d and Foxconn P4M8907MB combo that I bought for £1, and I want to see how good this could be, but when it booted (I know, it actually works!) it said I needed a 'bios cd' or something similar, and naturally I don't have one of those, so does anyone know where I could download the bios to boot off a thumb drive? Thanks, any more info let me know and I'll see if I can provide it.

Hi

It would help if you wrote down the exact error message you got
And posted it here

Try resetting the cmos using the jumper or removing the cmos battery for an hour or so .
Check the battery voltage is close to 3.0 volts if you have access to a voltmeter

(.with the pc disconnected from the mains)

Have you looked on foxconn website to see if motherboard manual and bios file is available ?

It is rare for a bios message saying insert bios disk unless some one was updating the bios and made a mess of the job.
