Hi everyone,
I am about to pull out my hair with this one so any help is appreciated.

Problem:
I have been having an issue where my internet cuts out occasionally through out the day with no real pattern. It's not a single device it's all devices and all hold the wireless or wired connection to the router but lose connectivity to the internet.

Setup:
Nighthawk router
Netgear modem
Some sort of Xfinity cable splitter where the outside line comes in at.

Current Theories:
I believe it is either my modem or outside connection.

I get no error messages besides everything just completely dropping connection. The issue resolves itself. I have tried restarting all my hardware and factory restoring the router.

You are not really offering a whole lot to work on.

I would, when it happens, look at the modem, does it look normal to you? WAN/LAN lights should be solidly lit.

My first inclination is to suspect one or more of your devices are downloading something big, torrent, and causing congestion. If the outage lasts more than a few minutes, u may want to start unplugging clients, and just leave one on, hopefully the one that's idling, and see if by others going away, restores function to the whole network.

When it happens the upload light starts blinking. I checked my Xfinity app and it says my modem has lost connectivity. I have seen my modem restart some times when it happens and other times it doesn't.

I also have had connectivity drops where the modem doesnt look different at all.

I have a 150Mb/s line so I doubt it is a single device conjesting the bandwidth.
