Ram Latency too high

Hi

I recently bought AMD Ryzen 2700x cpu with an MSI B450 Carbon AC pro board and Corsair Vengeance LPX ram (8gbx2)

The exact model no for my RAM is CMK8GX4M1D3000C16.

So I have been benchmarking my system and according to Passmark Benchmarking Software, my ram is only in the top 74% performance wise. I took a look at individual scores and it turns out that my memory latency is too high at 56 which is only at the 25% performance wise. My memory write speed at 8752 is in 73% (the rest of the scores are in high 80's or 90's. Same for my CPU, HD etc)

I checked the latency scores for this model and on average its 40 (edit the baselines are actually in the 20's). Whats going on here? is the ram faulty?

P.S I overclocked the ram otherwise it was as low as bottom 23% performance wise running at 2600 mhz (currently RAM is oc'd to 3200 mhz)

OC Frequency on 3200 with CL 16, sometimes it works on corsair. or CL 14/15, if you curious about it.

OCing RAM is little bit complicated, so many aspect you need to do, Like Timing, Command Rate, and other aspect on BIOS. but after you OC your memory, you should test it with memtest for stability.

I don't know much about OCing at all. I am just using the built in oc settings on my board and so far I have tried to OC the ram upto 3400 mhz with stable results.

I don't want to go over that as I don't think its worth it.

BUT my question is about the ram latency (which I measured in Passmark and it was at 56 ) and it says I am in the bottom 25% world wide RAM latency wise and overall I am in the bottom 75% ram wise but this score gets dragged down because of high latency of course.

I saw the latency scores for my exact model of RAM and they were lesser than me mostly, in the 40's ms and 20's ms. If people have latency in the 40's and 20's compared to my 56 ms with the exact same model of RAM then whats going on? and is there any way to reduce the latency of ram?

well its sad that nobody here can help me (about most things I have asked help with so far) I guess all the threads one finds on google search where proper help or advice is given must be started by very lucky people.

I have same question as OP, i lowered my ddr3 1600mhz CAS timing from 11 to 7 and yet i get 59ns as latency when tested with the Userbenchmark software, with CAS 11 the latency is 69ns but when tested with Passmark Performance test i get 23ns and 27ns respectively. But this chart shows that the latency should be as low as 8.75ns for CAS 7 and 13.75ns for CAS 11, https://external-preview.redd.it/d7...bp&s=9a70426c967f24ff059d91be79adb6a789bdb658

Does Userbenchmark.exe test real latency or calculate stock CAS latency or what?
