I replaced a hard dive on a laptop recently and I want to retrieve the files off the old hard drive, but once I have connected it externally and tried finding my files I came to a folder called “windowsapps” but was unable to open and view any files due to some permissions not being granted. Can anyone please advise what I can do to get passed this issue. Many thanks

Doing so is prohibited by Forum rules.
We really have no way of truly knowing the history of the "replaced hard drive" and what has transpired accordingly.
You must work with whomever has the access rights to that drive, its' folders and the files therein.
