I have a 150/150 plan with Frontier, connected directly to the router I get 150mbps but when I connected to my wifi extender I get about 50-60mbps. When connected wirelessly I get around 20-30mbps. Extender is a ActionTec wcb3000n, what can I do to increase the speed?

Solution
That's the price you have to pay with extenders, a considerable drop in speed as well as the extended connection often being flakey & unreliable.

You might want to give powerline adapters a try - -- they plug directly in to a mains socket and give you an ethernet port so you can use a wired connection instead of WiFi. Very little drop in speed and much more stable. I use them on my smart TV 'cos trying to stay connected to Netflix & catch-up TV through WiFi was a PITA. With powerline adapters no problem at all.
