Can gtx 1080 and ryzen 7 2700x handle a 1440p 144hz monitor?

At 1440p you virtually dont have to worry about anything unless you have a complete god aweful CPU.. CPUs are less in demand in 1440p as they are in 1080p, the Higher the Res the lower the demand on the CPU (Due to the fact that the GPU now has to render more Pixels).

1080p = High Demand on CPU and Moderate/High Demand on GPU
1440p = Moderate Demand on CPU High Demand on GPU
4K = Low/Moderate Demand on CPU and Very High Demand on GPU
8K+ = Why even bother?

It also goes on a base by base basis to, but to conclude in an easier way, that CPU is also fine with a 1080/1080 Ti on a 1080p 144Hz panel.
