Hi, Iv had this issue a couple times now. Started awhile ago when I saw my CPU was suddenly around 70C while gaming and about 40-50C idle. I cleaned out my PC and reapplied thermal paste to the CPU. This fixed the Temps for about 1-2 weeks.

My CPU would be around 40-50C while gaming, after the 1-2 weeks its suddenly back to 70+ gaming and 40-50C idle. So I reapplied thermal paste again and it fixed the issue for another couple weeks then I'd run into the same issues again.

The first time I applied the paste I'd spread it out with a card. The next time I did this I just let the cooler spread it out when I put it in.

I'm using an H100i V2 CPU Water Cooler. Is my Water Cooler dying or is it possibly my Power Supply or just simply the Thermal Paste? Thermal Paste I have is Deepcool Z3 and I have had this Paste for quite awhile, like a few years. Meanwhile I have had this CPU Cooler for about half a year or so.

hi there you have corsair link installed when it opens double click on the pump icon and cheak its on performance then you should be all good. There should be nothing wrong with the rest of your system are the fans working at correct speeds.

Yup the pump is set to Performance mode. Fan for the cpu cooler is set at 1920 rpm. Iv got 2 case fans as well which are currently at 1550 rpm and 680 rpm.
