I have just bought DQ77MK Intel Motherboard which hasn't been shipped yet. I also bought 2x8gb 1600mhz ram to put in this board.
I was reading the specifications for the board and it says it only supports 4gb technology, but up to 32gb (with only 4 DIMM's) which makes me curious on how to get to 32gb with only 4gb ram on each slot (max would be 16gb)
This is what it says on the product specs: "Support for up to 32 GB of system memory with four DIMMs using 4 Gb memory technology"
I would like someone to help me clarify what 4gb memory technology means and if my 2x8gb will fit on the board.
Thanks in advance!
