What settings should I have for streaming? (i5 6600/GTX 1070)

I have decent-ish internet that sometimes loses connection but is usually stable and strong.
I've tried setting my settings but it hasn't worked out properly. Has been losing frames and such. Help please!

Solution
Test your up speed thoroughly to see what it's at consistently. If you're on cable internet like I am, you may be getting above advertised speed. I consistently get 6 up speed on my 100Mb down/5Mb up service, but that's with my VPN disabled. With 6 up consistently I would set my stream bitrate to 3000, but you'll have to set it to 2500 if your ave up speed is only 5Mb.

I'm not interested in streaming, but I'd never stream at 3000 or less because I'm picky about video quality. The ones that can use 5000-6000 bitrate (10Mb-12Mb up speed) are the ones that have good video quality in their streams.

Too vague, what is your upload speed, more importantly, what up speed do you test at consistently?

The max stream bitrate for YouTube and Twitch is 6000, but you need at least 12Mb upload speed to set it that high.
