I'm building a new pc and dont know if I should try to sell my 1060 6gb evga ssc for around 190 and buy a used 1080 for 350 or stick to what I have.
Pc specs
I7-8700k
EVGA 1060 6gb ssc
16 GB 3200 ddr4 ram
1080p 60hz monitor

Should I stick to what I have and wait a little while for a new graphics card or get the 1080. I'm afraid it will be a mining card.

Edit: Should I wait for the release of the 20 series for prices to drop?

Well a 1080 is a significantly better card and if you could get a good deal it'll serve you well. The only issue is finding a reliable seller-you run the risk of the card being in bad condition or even getting a mining card. It can be a gamble.

What are the specs of the current PC that you are looking to replace, and are you primarily intending to upgrade for gaming performance reasons? With a 1080p 60Hz screen, a GTX 1080 will arguably be overkill for any games coming out in the near future. If you are going with a high-end card like that, perhaps a new monitor featuring a high refresh rate or higher resolution might be a good idea.
