Laptop not using all ram

So first, I've tried to go to msconfig and change from there, but doesn't help.

I have a Asus G750JM Laptop with 8gb ram. But I have hard times playing heavily ram used games, even for example fortnite.

The computer recognizes that I have 8gb of ram, because for example cpu-z says I have it and on the task manager it says that I have 8gb installed, but there it also says only 5,5gb.

If anyone has any ideas on how to use all ram, please let me know.
Thank you.

When you have integrated graphics available, some of the ram will be carved out for hardware buffers.

It would appear that you have no shortage of ram since you are only using some 53% of the available ram.
I would assume that while you are playing games, you are plugged in and are using the discrete graphics chip.
If not, your performance will be much less.

Check the task manager resource monitor.
Look at the memory tab and the hard faults per second rate. If you see as much as 1 per second, then you are truly short of ram and are swapping ram to/from the page file.

If your 8gb ram is just one stick, consider adding a second stick to get faster dual channel operation.

On the task manager resource monitor there isn't much happening at the hard faults section, only sometimes small spikes can appear. When I'm playing I'm using my discrete gpu, Don't really know what to change or do.
